Happy November! Time for my November giveaway. Leave a comment for a chance to win this little painting. I will randomly pick the winners on Saturday, November 12th!

This little forest creature is Mustardseed from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

"The cowslips tall her pensioners be:
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours,
In those freckles live their savours:
I must go seek some dewdrops here
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear."

Its a nice painting
and mustard seed is sweet,
and the roses are fiery.

is mustard seed the beginning of a doll line?
I wore my beaded doll you gave me
for courage last night. too many strangers
that already have enough friends.

Mustardseed is not part of a doll series, It's part of the Forest Creature Series. You can see more of them on my website. Enjoy!

Very beautiful, I love the warm rich colours!

Lovely art work! The colors are very evocative, and the design provides nice focus.

I've seen detailed work by others, where the precision (technique) overshadowed the emotional content.

Unlike them, you get it right. Very nice!

Love the colors. Just that touch of blue amongst the warmth. Pumpkinseed would make a cute doll.

To what do you attribute the softness in the appearance of your work? I had to do a double and triple take to tell if it was a painting or a quilted fabric piece.

Jenn, This is watercolor, so I guess that explains the softness. It's my favorite medium!

Megan! I have always been drawn to your artwork. So many fine details! It's been a long time since I participated in the Seattle artgirls gathering, but they were so much fun. I enjoyed getting to meet you, and everyone else. Your work still rocks, keep on keeping on.
*hugs*
