puttering about with paintings

i was puttering about with some paintings when i was on the telephone. the tallest painting here is 12" - for scale reference
this photo does not really capture the subtlety of these paintings, alas. at least i tried.
it's been snowing north and south of seattle but this far has not started to snow - or even rain - in seattle. i expect it will later on. today actually feels warm in comparison to the weather we have had - 30s rather than 20s.
