here are a couple cool mushroom projects if you are a knitter. Purl Bee has a mushroom baby rattle that i think i am going to try working up soon since i have hoards of hand painted sock yarn (yet have never - yet - knitted a sock unless you could a wee little stocking ornament! ) also she has a tutorial for making felted mushrooms that are also pretty cool!
